Random MAC Address Generator

Create addresses for labs and test fixtures. Unique within each batch, generated privately in your browser.

Local unicast addresses for test environments.

Optional. Up to 12 hex digits; random digits fill the rest.

Any leaves that bit random unless your prefix fixes it.

Generate 1 to 10,000 addresses per batch.

About address bits and collisions

Local sets the U/L bit (bit 1 of the first octet); Global clears it. Unicast clears the I/G bit (bit 0); Multicast sets it.

Your prefix is kept exactly. Conflicting modes need a different prefix or a compatible mode.

Global mode and vendor prefixes do not verify registry ownership. Local addresses can still collide with other devices. Check your network before assigning an address.

Each batch has no duplicates. Different batches may overlap. Random bits use Web Crypto.

Check bits and formats with the MAC inspector (in English).

Choose your settings, then generate a batch.

No uploads. No saved address history. Copy or download only the current batch.
